Republic Day Celebration

66th Republic day celebration at S. B. Patil Public School, Ravet
S. B. Patil Public School, Ravet celebrated the 66th Republic Day of the nation at its campus.
The dignitaries present for the occasion included chief guest Miss. Prarthana Thombare – Bronze Medal Winner at the Asian Games 2014, Secretary of Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust Mr. V.S.Kalbhor, Executive Director of Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust Mr. Girish Desai, Principal of S.B. Patil college of engineering Mr. Gaikwad, Principal of S.B. Patil Jr. College Mr. Risbood, Principal of S. B. Patil Public School, Mrs. Madhubala Gairola, P.T.A. Members, Teachers & Students.
The function started with the flag hoisting ceremony followed by a march past by students of the 4 houses of the school. Students presented few patriotic songs & poems to mark the occasion. Students & teachers also spoke about the importance of the day. A musical skit on Secularism & India was presented. Students of Std II displayed dumbbells & Ring Drill while students of std IV-VIII displayed Yoga & Rope Mallakhamb demonstrations.
Chief guest Miss Prarthana Thombare called upon the students to decide their future goals in the earlier years & work hard for it. Students got an opportunity of interacting with her & got most of their curious questions answered.

Vasant Panchmi Celebration

Vasant Panchami Celebrations at S B Patil Public School
Keeping track with Mythology & Tradition – Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust’s S B Patil Public School had organized a grand Saraswati Pooja in accordance to the Basant (Vasant) Panchami Celbrations at irts campus on Thursday nd January 2015.
A Special Assembly was organized for the same wherein Principal Mrs. Madhubala Gairola, Co-ordinators Mrs Shubhangi Kulkarni & Mrs Padmavati Banda, teachers of Pre-Primary Section & Primary Section & all the students of Std. I to VIII were present for the occasion.
A grand Pooja was conducted in a serene & pious atmosphere filled with chanting of Saraswati Vandana, Anjali Mantra & Pranaam Mantra. Students were enthralled by the holy-serene atmosphere created around. The Principal, co-ordinators & all the teachers dressed in yellow colour dress code created more enthusiasm & fulfilled the purpose of the holy proceedings. Principal Mrs. Madhubala Gairola addressed the students about the importance of knowledge in life & stressed the need of invoking our deities to bless us with knowledge to help others.
Teachers Mrs Susmita Roy & Miss Swaleha Mujawar spoke about the importance of the occasion & why & how Lord Saraswati is worshipped as the deity of Knowledge.

Extempore Competition

P.C.E.T’s S.B.Patil Public School had conducted an Extempore Competition for its students of Std IV to VIII at the school campus.

The students presented varied range of thoughts & ideas based on the topics given to them for speech.

The topics comprised-
1. Importance of Discipline.
2. Should we have examinations?
3. Importance of hard work etc.

 

The students displayed variations & great depth of knowledge of knowledge and understanding as they presented their speeches. Their confidence levels and morale were boosted as they received appreciation & applause from the judges, their teachers & fellow school mates after every speech that was presented. The judges at the competition were; Mrs. Prutha Vaidya, Mrs. Jyoti Mahajan & Miss Aparna Jagdale.

Even students who participated in the event for the first time , appeared very positive as the event instilled in them the good sense of self motivation that even they could present themselves so well as they had never done before.

 

Learning Outcomes: -
Students were able to express their ideas freely.
 They developed self confidence & public speaking skills as well.
 They developed positive approach towards their intellectual & retention abilities.

Memory Competition

P.C.E.T’s S.B.Patil Public School had conducted a Memory Competition for its students of Std I to III at the school campus.

The students were judged for their intelligence, retention & reproducing of observed things by their class teachers. For the first time, the Audio –Visual Aid (Projector) was used wherein the objects / materials of test were displayed before the students.

Students of Std. I were expected to answer orally. Students of Std. II & III were asked to write on a sheet of paper what they had seen displayed on the projector screen.

The results emerged outstanding for many students who could answer all the objects put to test accurately & score full marks. For the first time, many students realized for themselves that they had good retention & re-producing skills.

It was an exciting experience for the students which enhanced their self – confidence & presentation skills.

 

Learning Outcomes: -
 Students were able to express their ideas freely.
• They developed self confidence & public speaking skills as well.
 They developed positive approach towards their intellectual & retention abilities.

Teachers Day Celebration

S B Patil Public School celebrated Teachers’ Day on Friday, 5th September 2014.Principal Mrs Madhubala Gairola inaugurated the function by garlanding the photograph of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan and offering the traditional Pooja. Students presented speeches in English & Hindi to mark the importance of the occasion. Some cultural performances comprising of a skit & dance were presented by the students. Principal Mrs Gairola guided the students about the importance of the day & the need to learn from everything we see & come across in life.

Independence Day Celebration

On 15th August 2014, the 68th Independence Day was celebrated at the school campus.

The Chairman of Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust, Mr. V. S. Kalbhor, Trustee Mr. Bhaijan Kazi, Executive Director Mr. Girish Desai, Principal of S. B. Patil Public School, Mrs. Madhubala Gairola, P.T.A. Members, the entire teaching staff & students were present for the occasion.

The function started with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony followed by March Pass by the students. The School’s Choir Group also presented a Character – based patriotic song followed by few other songs. Some speeches were also presented by students & a teacher.

  • Master Aman Bhoge – Speech in Hindi.
  • Master Suchiet Joshi – Speech in English
  • Mrs. Vandana Sangle – (Marathi Teacher) – Speech in Marathi.

In her address, Principal Mrs. Madhubala Gairola stressed on the need to inculcate the ideas & values that make an individual to strive, in whatever possible way, for the progress of the nation.

The Chief Guest of the function, Mr. Bhaijan Kazi, made students understand the value of freedom .He addressed the students to mark the Independence Day as a hallmark event which shall remind them about their role & responsibility as the torch bearers of the nation.
The Function was compered by Mrs. Rachana Sisodiya, who also proposed the Vote of Thanks.

Story Telling competition

The topics for the competition were open -ended. The students were free to present any story with a moral – of their choice. The students presented a number of good stories very effectively.T hey displayed great confidence and stage courage in front of the judges who were there to adjudge them as well as their teachers & fellow student friends.
