SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON INTERNATIONAL DAY OF SCIENCE & PEACE
Our School had conducted a Special Assembly on the occasion of World Day of Science & Peace as declared by UNESCO; on Thursday, 09th of November 2017 at its campus. A Special Assembly was organised to mark the occasion. Student of Std X, Miss Janhavi Sinha delivered a speech on the importance of the day. Students of Std X, master Sharvay Tiwary & Master Gaurav Bhagodia demonstrated an A- V Presentation about the trend of patenting scientific inventions in the modern world. Carrying forward the thread of the patenting of science & its outcomes; C.C.A. –in –Charge Miss Swaleha Mujawar focussed upon the fact that while scientific research can be patented & owned by selected humans & organisations – Peace is a universal patent; whose proprietorship is owned by every citizen who dwells upon planet earth. She referred to the background behind establishment of the U.N., UNESCO & the aftermath of Science being used for destructive purposes during the 20th century – that culminated into two massive world wars. She mentioned that as we stand on the threshold of a third world warfare that shall be a nuclear one; it for every citizen across the globe to try & endeavour to sustain peace on the otherwise violence – struck living planet.
Our Principal Mrs. Gairola guided the organisation of the assembly. Blue House teachers Mrs. Richa Sharma & Mrs. Pravina More & students co-ordinated in the successful execution of the assembly.
Learning Outcomes: Students derived great information about the global platform that was being out into action to sustain world peace.
They understood how Science is crucial as part of our daily living & also for sustained human development.
SIGNIFICANCE OF EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTED THROUGH A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY
Our School had organised a special assembly on the occasion of National Education Day; commemorating the birth anniversary of a great thinker, freedom fighter & the first education Minister in the Union Cabinet of Independent India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad; on Monday, 13th of November 2017. School Co –ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda, teachers & students were present for the function. The session started with the daily morning assembly activities. Then, School teacher Mrs. Trupti Zarkar demonstrated an A- V presentation about the life & work of Maulana Azad. Students of Yellow House presented a group song titled “Shiksha ka Abhiyaan” – highlighting the need to make the yeoman task of spreading Education to every nook & corner of our country in order to realize our dream of a truly progressive India. A skit focusing the ignorant & pitiful attitude of people towards Education, in a satirical manner; was also presented by students.
School Co –ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda appreciated the presentation put up by Mrs. Trupti & her team of teachers & students. She also addressed the students about the important role that Education plays in uplifting the society, how great leaders who have contributed to spreading education among people by various means are our source of guidance & inspiration; with special reference & focus on significance of education of the female section of our Indian society.
School Co –ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda guided the organisation of the session. Mrs. Trupti Zarkar, her team of teachers & students of Yellow House executed the successful proceedings of the day’s Assembly.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students derived inspiration & understood the importance of Education to transform India from a developing nation to a super power.
OUR SCHOOL REMEMBER THE GREAT SONS OF INDIA
Our School had conducted a Special Assembly to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, known to us as ‘Mahatma Gandhi’; which is also the birthday of our second Prime Minister of India, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri. Our Principal Mrs. Madhubala Gairola, School Co-ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda, teachers & students were present for the session.
The session began with the garlanding of the photograph of Mahatma Gandhi at the hands of our sub co- ordinator for Std III – IV, Mrs Pooja Dange. Student of Std IV C Master Atharva Bhise presented a speech on Mahatma Gandhi. The Choir Groups of Std II & Std IV - VII presented some songs glorifying the life work of Gandhiji. Students of Std IV presented a skit – highlighting the values of cleanliness, punctuality & dignity of labour – taught to us by our father of the nation.
Principal Mrs.Gairola addressed the students about the significance of 2nd October as Cleanliness Day & stressed upon the day being marked as International Non –Violence Day. She elaborated further that non - violence just does not mean avoiding hurting others or ending someone’s life. It also relates to not killing or suppressing the inner conscience that exists covertly in all of us. We should always follow it; as it prevents us from going astray off the right path. She appreciated the work done by a group of our students & teachers under the guidance of one of our teachers, Mrs. Varsha Deshmukh – commemorating the auspicious occasion of 2nd October. They had visited a down – town vicinity nearby to our School, had an interaction with the children residing in that low profile area, and asked them various questions about the hygiene & sanitation facilities available to them. They made them understand the importance of hygienic habits & also offered to support in providing the necessary facilities on behalf of the School. Students Miss Mitali Kapure & Miss Pranjal Patil shared their experiences about the activity.
Principal Mrs. Gairola guided the organizing of the Assembly. Co - ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda House teachers of Red House –Mrs. Manjusha Nathe, Mrs. Treasa Peters, Mrs. Chandrakala Sharma, Music teacher Mrs. Sulochana Pawar conducted the Special Assembly for the day.

The day was marked by a Special Assembly. Principal of the School, Mrs. Madhubala Gairola, School Co –ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda, teachers & students were present on the occasion. The Assembly began by offering homage to the great leader. The Choir group presented a song highlighting the moral value of patriotism. Some students also presented a skit on the concept of patriotism.
Speaking at the event, School co –ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda elaborated on the significance of the day, the life & work of Lokmanya Tilak. C.C.A. – in – Charge Miss Swaleha sought connection between the School’s C.C.A. Theme of the Month – Patriotism in Modern Times, the importance of the day & the skit on patriotism presented by the students – & synthesised the whole thing that patriotism was the life & breath of great leaders whom we remember to this day & this is what we need to carry forward –in the modern times. Principal Mrs. Gairola addressed the students about need to imbibe the values & great deeds which the lives of great people teach us. She stressed on the fact that if the students take up even one line of the pledge as a motto for their life; celebrating national days & special assemblies of great Indians would be fruitful –or else everything is just superficial.

CONCERN FOR NATURE TAKES CENTRE STAGE VIA A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY
DESCRIPTION: Our School celebrated World Nature Conservation Day at its campus for two days; on the 28th& 29th of July 2017.Both days were marked by a Special Assembly. Principal of the School, Mrs. Madhubala Gairola, School co –ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda, teachers & students were present on the occasion.
On the first day, School Teacher Mrs Sapna Pagar demonstrated an A- V Presentation about what nature is, how it is being destroyed & how earnestly do we need to preserve it. Students were but mesmerised by the video – that enlightened them about the most crucial problem that we are facing presently.
On the second day, students of Std VIII – X performed the assembly activities. Student of Std X, Master Sharvay Tiwari gave a very impressive speech about sustainable conservation of nature. He stresses more on the role of the younger generation in conserving nature – with particular reference to doing subtle things that contribute to the large cause of preserving nature –God’s greatest boon to mankind.
Yellow House –in –charge for Std I –II - Mrs. Sapna P& her associates Mrs. Yogita D, Mrs. Manjusha S, Mrs. Priya B, and Mrs. Rupali Rath conducted the assembly for the first day. The next day’s assembly was conducted by Yellow House –in –charge for Std VIII – X Mrs. Prutha Vaidya & her associate Mrs. Nirupama Kale.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students demonstrated a more concerned approach towards saving the nature & its sustained conservation.
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON WORLD DROUGHT & ANTI – DESERTIFICATION DAY
Our School conducted a Special Assembly on the occasion of World Drought & Anti – Desertification Day at its Campus on the 13th of June 2017. Principal of the School, Mrs. Madhubala Gairola, Primary co –ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda, teachers & students of Std. VIII – X were present on the occasion.
Miss Diya Siroya, student of Std VIII gave information about the concept of drought situation & ant –desertification. Students of Std VIII gave information &also presented an A- V Presentation about the concept, causes of desertification, its aftermaths & ways to curb the disastrous situation.
Principal Mrs. Madhubala Gairola guided the proceedings of the event. Co- ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda organized the proceedings of the day. Mrs. Sakshi Shinde, Mrs. Anusaya Swami & students of the Red House conducted the Special Assembly for the day.
SPECIAL ASEMBLY ON WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
Our S.B.Patil Public School celebrated World Environment Day at its campus. Principal of the School, Mrs. Madhubala Gairola, School Co –ordinator Mrs. Padmavati Banda, all teachers & students of Std. VIII – X were present on the occasion.
A Special Assembly was conducted to mark the occasion. Our students Master Bharath Hanumantha of Class IX & Master Tanuj Sansare of Std X gave information &also presented an A- V Presentation about Saving the Environment – based on the theme of the year ’ Connecting People To Nature’.
