Black & White Day Celebration
When two opposite colors come together it has an eye-catching effect as they compliment each other .Black and White combination is a good example of the same . They are highly opposite from each other but when they come together, they play magic . A good example to justify this statement is when we see the black clouds in the sky before it rains, how appealing it is to our eyes. To help our tiny tots for differentiating these special colours and its effects, the Pre primary section celebrated Black and White colour day virtually on Friday , 26-2-2021. Children were introduced to black & white colours through beautiful display of objects to the colour theme. They listened to rhymes related to the colours of black and white. Also to enhance their speaking skills students spoke about different objects they see in their surroundings.
Different play based activities were also arranged to build their creativity and imagination. Like, our Nursery children coloured Zebra with Black and White stripes. Jr.KG section made "Night Scenery" with Wax painting and sponge dabbing activity. Sr.KG children had fun with mixing colours and palm printing to form an elephant out of it. Learners & teachers both looked attractive in their Black & White outfit. It was a day well spent learning , playing and having fun with friends and teachers.

To Daada-Daadi with Love: Celebrating Grandparent’s Day
It always has been tradition at S.B. Patil Public School to recognise the people who have influenced our lives, perpetually striving to make us better people be it our teachers, peers or family.
This is why, on October 9th, 2020, the pre-primary section of S.B. Patil Public School celebrated Grandparent’s Day to recognise and thank our grandparents. To commemorate this occasion during the time of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Bindu Saini gave a speech on the occasion which was streamed online on the day of celebration. She spoke about the imperativeness, grandparents as people, have in our lives: How they are our pillar of support, our protector and friend.
She also stressed on how many of us worship and have even modelled our own lives around our grandparents who always push us to do our best, and love us unconditionally whilst expecting nothing in return.
Meanwhile, online activities were conducted with the kiddies of the pre-primary section and their grandparents. In an hour-and-a-half session, the tiny tots showed no hesitancy in expressing their love for their grandparents. Both grandparents and grandchildren alike shared and relived their sweet memories by showing photographs taken of them together.
Grandparents also got the opportunity to recollect their own childhood memories, and in a sensitive moment, expressed their emotions and feelings about what it is to be a grandparent. Through games, puzzles, quizzes and riddles organised by the teachers, grandparents were able to shed all responsibilities of being an adult, and in those moments relived being a child all over again.
Further to this, both grandparents and grandchildren enjoyed fireless cooking such as by making paani puri, sandwiches, etc. Music was also played to which grandparents and their beloved grandchildren danced merrily to the tunes.
Thus, through this all, we at S.B. Patil Public School were proud and contented to give these fine people who perhaps, our parents aside, have been the closest to us; who have been with us through thick and through thin, the opportunity to be appreciated for all the sacrifices they have made, to be valued for all the love they have showered on us, and a chance to explore their innermost child they almost had forgotten they had.
We extend our gratitude to the principal, Dr. Bindu Saini; the pre-primary coordinator, Ms. Shubhangi Kulkarni, and all the teachers of the pre-primary section who have made this day possible.
