Celebrating Raksha Bandhan:
A Sacrocant Bond Between Siblings, Family and Nature
Pune, Maharashtra | 29th August, 2023
“A love between a brother and a sister is one of the deepest and sacred of all human bonds.”
‘Raksha Bandhan’ is a special occasion to celebrate this sacrosanct bonding when a sister ties a rakhi - a sacred thread - around her brother’s wrist, praying for his long life; and brother reciprocates promising to care and protect her, and by presenting her gifts she loves and values the most.
To inculcate this emotional bond of love, care and protection a rakhi-making activity was conducted in pre-primary section of S.B. Patil Public School on 29th August, 2023. Students made beautiful, creative rakhis using coloured and glittered paper, ribbons, beads and sequences by fan-folding, paper-cutting and sticking. They also made decorated hair-clips using the same.
Teachers guided them for the same and explained the significance of this celebration. The joy was doubled when teachers asked the girls to tie rakhis around the boys’ wrists, whilst the boys presented the girl students with gifts of the hairclips.
They were also taught that this bond of love, care and protection should be extended beyond our siblings and family, and be shared with nature as well: a promise to take care of the nature, love our environment and stand high to protect it was a new meaning of Raksha Bandhan which students penned in their hearts.

Father's day Activity
Beyond fantasies superheroes do exist. We call him 'dad'. Unlike superheroes he may not fly but is the backbone of our family and supports us to reach great heights. He may not have superhero weapons but still protects us and take care of us. Our father never want us to fall but still will let us fall and cheer us to get up so that we learn never to give up. We all behold this gem call 'father'. To make them proud and to pop a smile on their face our tiny tots of Preprimary section, S. B Patil Public School had carried out a father's day activity. Little hand casted magic with all their heart to make father's day card. Cards were beautifully decorated with palm prints, colour designs and a message for their father. Creativity was on peak and students enjoyed the activity.

Day One at S.B. Patil Public School
“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” The pre-primary section is an educational establishment offering early childhood education to children, and through this, S.B. Patil Public School took this wonderful opportunity to welcome our tiny tots to its new world.
The kindergartners who enrolled for the Academic Year of 2023-24 began their first few days with introductions, discussions and interactions with their teachers and parents about class and school.
As the month soon passed by, the children engaged in fun-filled activities like colouring, paper crumpling and paper tearing, clay modelling, fingerprinting, and games with EduNeed toys. Teachers even arranged a musical session and storytelling with puppets activity which children enjoyed a lot. Students also engaged in a quality circle time - an activity where students sit in a circle with their teacher and express their views on different topics.
Recapitulations were done using the play-way and game methods, which the students also enjoyed thoroughly. Leaving behind their classrooms, the little ones were also taken for outdoor activities where they enjoyed cycling, slides, swings, and seesaws. This academic year will be another challenging and exciting one, and we look forward to welcoming our little champs after they returning to class from their summer vacations.
