Jr. KG Balgeet Activity
Balgeet is very important for tiny tots to learn the wonderful sound of the language & simple words give magical touch to sing as they build up the confidence & fluency in language. To take out these benefits Jr. KG section arranged Marathi Balgeet Activity on 22-1-2021. Kids participated very enthusiastically in the activity. They expressed their feelings in their mother tongue through Balgeet singing, like Asava Sundar Chocolate cha bangala & many more. Kids were using props very keenly and effectively. Even background decoration prepared by parents created an appropriate atmosphere.

Jr. KG Object Talk Activity
Each human being has Creativity and an Innovative mind. To strengthen the verbal skills and to foster public speaking competency of the young minds we organized "Virtual Object Talk Activity" for Jr.KG students on 22-2-2021. Tiny speakers talked about their favorite toys or the object of their choice. Little champs used objects wisely with remarkable sentences. It enabled them to improve their descriptive skills by communicating feelings, thoughts and emotions with words.
The inspiring presentation left no stone unturned to achieve a realistic appraisal of their skills.
It was an interesting and thrilling experience for the teachers.

Nursery short speech activity
Learning to speak in public, builds communication skills and confidence, and enables children in developing self-confidence. Students from the Nursery section participated in ‘Short speech activity’ on 6th February 2021, to strengthen their verbal skills. Topics for the activity was My favourite toy/ colour/pet. Tiny tots were excited to share their descriptive narration. It was an interactive activity that helped in building social, emotional and language skills of the children. Children had made use of props to support their narration. The activity gave children a thrilling experience of sharing their feelings and thoughts with fellow classmates and teachers. The aim of the activity was to engage students through activity based learning.

Sr.KG Marathi Balgeet Activity
Every aspect of our life involves language. It also plays an important role in the development of a persons personality .It is through language that we communicate with the world, define our identity, express our history and culture, learn and participate in all aspects of society.It has been found that, teaching of mother tounge at the intial stages of education gives impetus to the growth of mind and thought and makes it more creative and logical.
In accordance to this and to bring about a holistic development in our students , the Sr.KG section had a virtual Marathi Balgeet Activity on Tuesday ,9th February 2021.Students actively participated in the event using props and sang confidently with actions ,expressions and overloaded cuteness.Teachers apreciated and kept encouraging the children as they sang songs like 'Chando ba Chando ba' ,'Shepti valya pranyachi sabha' ,'Bhajyanchi mandai' ,'Chimniche Ghar' to name a few balgeet sung by our little wonders .

Sr.KG MONO ACT ACTIVITY
Monoact is a one man show ,where the actor or participant gets to show his/her ,creativity,imagination, confidence and communication skills .Drama helps children to understand the world around them.On 28th January 2021 ,Thursday our Sr.KG section had a virtual mono act activity organized for them.Children participated actively in the event.They showcased their confidence, creativity and their selection of topic left the teachers spellbound .With appropriate selection of costumes and props made their perfomance look more realistic.Children enacted and gave messages and put light on very sensitive topics like child labour, gender equality ,pollution control ,healthy eating habits ,recycle and reuse of waste ,to avoid barganing with vegetable and fruit vendors to mention a few of them .In such small age they could understand and present such big message to their friends and society ,we genuiely appreciate our students efforts and talent.The monoact activity gave a boost to the holistic development of the students.

A Chassé to Success:
At the Sakal Young Buzz’s Kids Idol, 2020 Competition
Pune, Maharashtra | December 25th, 2020
Dancing is so much more than just grooving on the dance floor to your favourite tunes. It is one of the most enthusiastic forms of expression. It can convey anything from gladness to grief, from acrimony to angst, from docility to dauntlessness.
Sakal Young Buzz organised its 11th solo dance competition under the banner “Kids Idol, 2020” on December 25th, 2020. Held virtually due to the ongoing pandemic, the programme saw no dearth of enthusiastic participation by students of all ages from all over the country.
Avani Pavan Gujarathi of Senior KG-Water of S.B. Patil Public School was one of the many young aspirants who partook passionately in the event. And it is with great pride that we announce her win as the first runner up. We congratulate this budding dancer and wish her the very best as she chassés her way to success.

Clay Modelling Activity
Kids have fun and funky sensation squashing and trampling the clay. The tactile hands-on nature of clay made children get engrossed while allowing for a high degree of creativity. To enhance the artistic skills of students, A Clay Modelling Activity was conducted on a virtual platform in our Nursery section on 7th January 2021. Our little ones came up with their stunning creations.
The little hands worked smoothly and efficiently to fulfil their heart’s desires and fantasies. Manipulation with clay provided an outlet for children to physically convey their emotions and reduce stress. They pounded, squeezed, rolled and blended the clay to make some unique and amazing creations like flowers, Grapes, watermelon, apple, banana, chilli, pumpkin, orange, lady finger, peas, carrot etc. and displayed them with pride.
This outstanding sensory activity developed gross and fine motor skills and helped to boost the self-confidence of the students.
The finished product at hand was a treasure to cherish for the young ones.

Sanskrit Shloka Activity
Sanskrit is the mother of all languages. The beauty of its sound, precision in pronunciation makes it a unique language. Sanskrit shlokas can help boost our ability to retain memory. To experience the fragrance of the same, a Shloka chanting activity was conducted in the Nursery section on 10th December 2020.
The students actively participated in the competition by chanting shlokas with utmost sincerity. They displayed great confidence as they chanted difficult shlokas with ease. It was a pleasure to see the tiny tots participating with such zeal and enthusiasm.

Jr.KG and Sr.KG Origami Activity
A balanced scheme of work and recreation is the proper way to keep the mind in trim shape and rejuvenated .That is why we stress on extra curricular activities in school routine.In short ,work with no recreation ,will make Jack an average boy. To bring the best in our children and all round development an 'Origami activity' was conducted on Thursday, 3rd December 2020 virtually for Jr.KG and Sr.KG section.The topic given to Jr.KG was 'Insects ,Birds ,and Animals' and Sr.KG had to make on the topic 'Nature'.Children exhibited wonderful creations ,skillfully folding the paper in sequence and patience. Through this activity the eye- hand coordination ,memory ,attention span and fine motor skills are boosted. Children interacted and enthusiastically showed their origami crafts to their teachers.For the theme Insects children made dog, rabbit,cat ,fish butterfly etc and Ganesha ,swan ,Christmas tree ,Santa Claus ,frog ,butterfly etc. are few crafts made by Sr.KG students.

Jr. KG. English Story with Puppet activity
Children love to listen stories from parents and grandparents. To inculcate the art of storytelling right from this tender age, our Jr. KG section organized an ‘’English Story with Puppet activity’’ on Thursday 29/10/2020 which gave an opportunity to all tiny tots.
Children were enthralled to put up a mesmerising puppet show. Each one had a great story to narrate and they displayed beautiful handmade puppets. It was a great learning experience for children as all of them presented their stories in a spectacular way. It helped in increasing a child's imagination, teaching facial expressions, body language and speaking skills.

Nursery English Poem Recitation Activity
Poem is a way of expressing our thoughts. Reciting a poem encourages a child to memorize and immerse themselves in powerful language. Keeping in this mind “English poem Recitation Activity” was held on virtual platform in the Nursery section of S. B. Patil Public school, on 15th October 2020.
Our tiny tots recited lively and cheerful poems. The content, presentation and the confidence of the participants were praiseworthy. Children participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Besting it at the Senior KG Best Out of Waste Activity
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle: The Three Rs are the prime values of waste management through which one can aid in saving the environment. In order to imbibe these values from a very young and tender age, a “Best Out of Waste” online activity was organised by the pre-primary faculty of S.B. Patil Public School for students of Senior KG section on October 12th 2020.
The kiddies used reusable and recyclable materials like newspaper, bottles, coconut shells, old CDs, etc to create artistic crafts. Fantabulous ideas were demonstrated using these materials by the tiny tots. These activities helped them to enhance not only their creativity and presentation skills but children also to realise the importance of Three Rs and the need for saving the environment.

Nursery colouring Activity
Colouring is all about creativity. Colouring helps in self-expression, colour recognition, building fine motor skills. To nurture all above things of the learners, “An Online Colouring Activity” was held on 10th September 2020 for Nursery section.
The little artists participated in the activity with great zeal and enthusiasm.
They displayed their colouring skills by filling colours in their favourite cartoon character “Pooh”.

Sr.Kg - AROUND THE WORLD ACTIVITY
The world around us is amazing! It's beautiful, as you travel it opens your mind, you get to experience different cultures, meet people of different cultures with diverse traditions and distinctive lifestyles. We also get to observe things that unite people. To introduce the places around the world, different cultures, clothing, cuisine, sports, speciality of that particular place, currency etc., an 'AROUND THE WORLD' activity was conducted for Sr.Kg students on 11th and 12th of September 2020 virtually .Children actively participated and represented themselves from different countries like USA, Japan, Italy and also different states of India like Maharashtra, Kolkata, Chennai to name a few. As they delivered their performance, their confidence, content and use of interesting props left the teachers spellbound. They all looked vibrant in colourful attires. This activity gave children the platform to show their talent and build confidence and helped them to improve their speaking skills. It motivated them to explore the world around them and enhance their knowledge.

Jr. KG. Clay Modelling Activity
Fine motor skill is a very basic skill to be developed at the age of 3-5 years old. Keeping this in mind Jr.KG section conducted Clay Modelling Online Activity on 15-09-2020.
Our tiny tots applied three "P"s i.e. "Pinch, Press & Pull" to create beautiful models of fruits, vegetables and vehicles out of colourful clay. This virtual response was an eye-catching experience for the teachers. They made the models with their own ideas, imagination & creativity. This activity helped children even to develop their small & large muscles as well as eye-hand coordination.
Children were totally engrossed in the formation of these creative models and enjoyed playing with clay.

Hindi Patriotic Song Activity (Jr. KG)
Patriotic song itself is a great inspiration for all and when it is presented in our Rashtrabhasha-Hindi, it’s like a ‘Rainbow in The Sky’. To develop Patriotism in future minds of India, Jr. KG section conducted ‘Hindi Patriotic Song Activity’ on 10th & 11th August. It was a proud moment for parents, teachers and school to see our kids dressed up in tricolour, singing patriotic songs using appropriate props and waving our National Flag with pride.

Sr.Kg Patriotic Song Activity
On the occasion of Independence Day celebration, to encourage the feelings of honour for the country, patriotic song activity was organized for the pre- primary wing, Sr.Kg section on 11th and 12th August 2020.This was an opportunity to teach the students the importance of Independence Day. Music ignites all areas of child development, enhances their confidence and presentation skill and it also helps the body and mind to work together.
Children were brimming with enthusiasm and were eager to showcase their talent .Some presented their patriotic songs using different props like National flag ,farmers plough ,charts ,soldiers gun etc .Few children were dressed as soldiers and some in white dress n tricolour jackets and tricolour stole ,though the event was conducted virtually the spirit of patriotism and the students enthusiasm could be felt by the teachers .Children were appreciated for their participation and for their flawless rendering of the songs in different languages like Hindi ,Marathi and English. The activity was held successfully through a virtual platform with good participation by our bright Gen -Z.

English Recitation Activity (Jr.KG)
Poetry is the realm of soul. Poem is meant for expressing our thoughts, though it is happy or sad. Expression is one of the aspects of human nature and each child should develop his/her skill of expression. Keeping this in mind Jr.KG section conducted ‘English Recitation Activity’ on 13th July. Our tiny tots participated enthusiastically in the activity with variety of topics like birds, food, seasons and current situation of COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers could see the zest through their presentation.

Fancy Dress Activity
Activities are an important means of cognitive development. They are one of the most important tools of learning particularly at pre-primary levels. Keeping kids engaged in productive activities during lockdown is necessary. Participating in different activities help children develop confidence.
Keeping in this mind S. B. Patil School conducted online British Council ISA (International School Award) “Fancy dress activity” for Nursery kids on 13th & 14th July 2020. The activity was themed on “Insects found in India, Australia, Sri Lanka, Brazil”
Kids were very enthusiastic as online activity is a new concept for them. Kids dressed in different insects like honey bee, mosquito, butterfly, spider, grasshopper etc. They made appearances through online app & also delivered the dialogues.The purpose of conducting the activity was not only to blend online learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the little ones by giving them an opportunity to perform on the virtual stage.
