Origami Activity

An ancient Japanese legend says that if you fold one thousand cranes you will be granted a wish.Origami is the art of folding paper to form various objects. It is derived from two Japanese words: "Ori & quot; meaning “folded”;and "Kami & quot; means “paper”. This form of art helps children to think creatively whilst also developing their fine motor skills. With this as a motive, the Junior KG section arranged an origami activity on 16 th February, 2024.Our little artists and creators showed their wonderful and outstanding creativity. Children followed the theme & quot; nature ". They made beautiful models of animals, birds, flowers, etc. with colourful papers. Children used their imagination to decorate the craft work which they made. The little ones thoroughly enjoyed their creativity whilst their teachers were immensely happy to see the little ones at their creative peaks.

Marathi Balgeet Activity

Rhymes and rhythms help little minds tour into a dream world where our tiny tots can imagine and explore new things. Not only do rhymes and rhythms help broaden their imagination but it also helps enhance their language by developing new vocabulary.

S.B. Patil Public School organised a Marathi Balgeet Activity for the Senior KG students. Students sang beautifully and expressed themselves. Some of them even brought props which added stars to their performance. 'Chiyu chiyu chimni', 'Chuku Chuku aaginagaadi', and 'Saang saang bolanath' were some of the shymes and songs sung. The activity ended up well and students were happy to perform in front of their classmates and teachers.

The Little Ad-makers:
The Nursery Ad-Mad Show

Advertising is a method used to sell a product by making it attractive to the seller. To acquaint students with promotional strategies in marketing through advertisements,S.B. Patil Public School organised an Ad-Mad Show activity for the Nursery students on 12 th February 2024.The students participated with a lot of enthusiasm.The competition helped the students enhance their skills in expression, voice modulation and dialogue delivery.

Most of the students came up with unique ideas and well-written scripts for the advertisements. They advertised simple things like pencils, erasers, tiffin boxes, etc. It was an excellent learning experience.

STORYTELLING WITH PROPS. 18th January, 2024

Storytelling is the art of touring you around a fairyland within your minds. Good storytellers make people feel things. They get inside of the heads of their audiences and make them happy, sad, angry, curious and excited. Storytelling is the best way to capture people’s attention, bake information into their memories. To bring out the hidden talent of storytelling within our tiny tots a Storytelling activity with props was staged on 18th January, 2024 for Sr. KG students of Preprimary section of S. B Patil Public School. To enhance their imagination and auratory skills these kind of activities always helps. To create generation with all great qualities to sustain any kind of environment is the motto because who can tell the most compelling stories are able to influence the most.

Smart Puppeteers of SBPPS

To bring stories to life and to spark young imagination, the Jr.KG section of SBPPS arranges English Story Telling With Puppets on 19-1-24.Puppets can be used anytime, anyway and anywhere. "Uses of puppets" in the stories are very helpful to better understanding. A puppet is an object, often resembling a human, animal or mythical figure, that is animated or manipulated by a person called a puppeteer. Our small puppeteer did well by using their puppets in the story timely and keenly. It was an entertaining movement for a small audience and teachers too.

Modelling with Clay:
The Nursery Clayton Activity

Kids always have fun squashing and playing with clay. The tactile hands-on nature of clay helps children get engrossed while allowing for a high degree of creativity. To enhance the artistic skills of our students, a Clayton Activity was conducted for our Nursery section on 16 th January, 2024 wherein our little ones came up with their stunning creations. Their little hands worked smoothly and efficiently to fulfil theirheart’s desires and fantasies.

Molding the clay provided an outlet for children to physically convey their emotions and reduce stress. They pounded,squeezed, rolled and blended the clay to make some unique and amazing creations like flowers, suns, caterpillars, ladybugs,rainbows, etc. and displayed them with pride.

This outstanding sensory activity developed their gross and fine motor skills whilst helping them to boost their self-confidence. The finished product at hand was a treasure to cherish for the young ones.

Power of Advertising

"Good advertising does not just circulate information. It penetrates into the public mind with desires and belief." The ad mad show activity is an opportunity to bring out the individual hidden talent of presenting things in an effective way in front of others. Keeping this in mind the Jr.KG and Sr.KG section has provided a platform for AD-MAD show activity on 21st December, 2023, to explore students' creativity and express their emotions.

Students presented "Ads" by using their extraordinary skills and imagination to make it interesting, they also used related props very effectively. Some topics were humorous and somewhere heart touching. Few topics made us think about. The event went well. Other students learnt a few important things with FUN. Teachers seemed very happy and satisfied with their hard-work.

English Recitation Activity: Sr.KG section (29th November, 2023)

The conquest of learning is achieved through the knowledge of languages. And knowledge of languages is the doorway to wisdom!! Recitation is one of the most important & effective modes of learning a language. To enrich the vocabulary and Recitation skills of our tiny tots English Recitation Activity was conducted on 29th November, 2023 for Sr.KG section in S. B Patil Public School. Students showcased wonderful performance by reciting the rhymes. Some were very expressive, some had rhythmic tunes and some had props. Students enjoyed the activity and participated to add on to their knowledge. This also built confidence and stage daring in our little ones.

The Jr.KG English Recitation Activity

The key step in learning any language is to learn of its beauty through its literary works be it stories, fables, poetry or rhymes. Keeping this in mind, the Junior KG section arranged English Recitation Activity on 11th October, 2023.

The little ones recited beautiful rhymes using their props very skillfully. They performed using proper gestures and facial expressions to express the emotion and soul of the rhymes recited. All-in-all, it was a wonderful learning experience for all.

Making the Most of it All:
The Senior KG Best Out of Waste Activity

“Recycle it all, no matter how big or how small.”

The recycling and reusing of waste material results in development of fantastic and usable products.

To develop the ability to think to create something useful and to broaden our vision all whilst taking care of nature and society, the pre-primary section of S.B Patil Public School had organised a Best Out of Waste activity for Senior KG students.

Our tiny tots sprinkled their creativity onto the discarded wastes and did wonders. Just like the Midas Touch, our little friends casted magic on the scrap materials and its result was amazing.

They made pencil holders from paper cups, wall hangings from CDs, piggy bank from used bottles, photo frames and show pieces from ice cream sticks and newspaper bags, beautiful cards using pista shells and pencil shavings to name a few.

Little efforts bring great impact. This activity enhanced their creativity and helped them to be a part of a cleaner and greener environment. They learned that to control the harmful effects of waste on our environment, activities such as these are the need of the hour too.

Be clean, be green, be a recycling machine... because by recycling, you can change tomorrow, today!

The Nursery Sanskrit Shloka Recitation Activity

Sanskrit is the mother of all Indian languages. The beauty of its sound and precision in pronunciation makes it a unique language.

Sanskrit shlokas can help boost our ability to retain memory. To experience the positivity of shlokas and the beauty of them, a Sanskrit Shloka Recitation activity was conducted in the Nursery section on 3rd October, 2023.

The students actively participated in the competition by chanting shlokas with utmost sincerity. They displayed great confidence as they chanted difficult shlokas with ease. It was a pleasure to see the tiny tots participating with such zeal and enthusiasm.

The Pre-primary Colouring Activity

We celebrate every moment of our life with vibrant colours of nature. They are the source of joy and happiness for everyone.With the motive to help students understand more about colours, and practice the art of colouring, the pre-primary section of S.B. Patil School organized a colouring activity for the tiny tots of the Nursery and Junior KG on 11th September 2023.

The little artists participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm, and at the same time took great care to colour their masterpieces with their creativity.

The students beautifully exhibited their skills by filling colours in the pictures given. It helped them to explore new ideas and creativity whilst understanding colours and their usage. The fun they had is certainly going to add new innings to their already colourful childhood memories.

The Little Globetrotters:
The Pre-primary Around the World Activity

The world is filled with people who have different beliefs, religions, traditions, and ways of living. It is within our differences that we can find beauty.

To give an insight of culture diversity around us, an Around the World activity was conducted on 12th September, 2023 for the Senior KG students of S.B Patil Public School.

Students wore attire representing different cultures and talked about the specialty and cultural significance of that particular place.

We all are different flowers tied in a single thread of humanity. We all are independent yet we all are one. It paves the way to better problem-solving, more empathy and compassion, deepened learning, and approaches the world from various perspectives.” This message of cultural diversity with unity was something every student took back home with them that day.

Collage Making Activity

"Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun".

To brush out the creativity and explore the vast ocean of imagination and colours a Collage making activity was organized in S. B Patil Public School in the Pre-primary section for Senior KG students. The activity helped to enhace the tearing, glueing and pasting skills. Students were happily engrossed experimenting with different sizes and shades of papers giving new dimension to the outline drawing given to them. Little hands mended a new world with colourful bits of papers, where every bit of paper was filled with hope, curiosity and creativity to become something new and better!!

Hummingbirds At SBPPS

Humming songs is the first step of understanding tunes and music, let alone nursery rhymes. It is a very basic and natural learning process for pre-primary kids. To bring this benefit to our toddlers, a Marathi Balgeet activity was arranged for the kiddies of the Nursery and Junior KG sections on 11th July, 2023.

Balgeet is basically a traditional song that is taught to children to develop vocabulary, counting numbers in rhythm, rhyming words, voice modulation, etc. The world of songs and rhymes is filled with fantasy since it encourages and hones a child’s imagination.

For the activity, chldren sang Balgeet songs like "Asava Asa Ha Chocolate Cha Bangala", "Sang Sang Bholanath", "Chhotese Bahin-Bhau", and many others. The kids used props very keenly and effectively to emphasise their songs. Even background decorations prepared by parents created an appropriate atmosphere. The activity made a day of fun and learning for students as well as teachers..
