The Last Day of School:
A Pre-primary Section Memoir
Pune, Maharashtra | March 2023
With grey winters turning to bright summers,
With cloudy skies turning to sunshine all around,
Another year has come to an end.
With another annual year coming to an end, those tiny feet, which once hesitantly walked into their new classes a year ago, will soon march out a step higher. Those hands which scribbled crayons randomly have learnt good formations. The entire year was a carnival with echoes of laughters, cheers, teamwork and much more to the list.
As a token of love, all the teachers prepared handmade take-away mementoes for the little ones to cheer them up as they embarked on a new journey. It was a bittersweet moment for both teachers as well as students as some were excited on this new venture, yet teary-eyed as they left their classrooms and class teachers. Teachers received tight hugs from the toddlers with promises made that they will come to meet their teachers in the coming years too. Goodbyes were hard yet had the sweetness of dreams to be chased.

Grandparents Day Celebration
"A grandparent has silver in their hair and gold in their heart."
Grandparents are family who give unconditional love and kindness; have immense patience and understanding, shower us with comfort, and teach us lessons in life. Even when parents may scold a child, it is the grandparents whose blind love for their grandkids shields them from their parents.
Just like a parent plays an important role in a child's life, grandparents do too. Assume a child is a boat: if parents are the propellers and rudder that push and channel the child in the right path; grandparents then are the sails that gently guide the child as well.
And so, to acknowledge the role of grandparents in our lives, S.B.Patil Public School's pre-primary section gave a platform to them on 8th October, 2022 through the event: Grandparents' Day. The grandparents of our students were invited. They played fun-filled games like Guess the Actors, Book Balancing, Catch the Ball, Tying Knots, etc. and even went to the Selfie Corner and Tattoo Corner to get clicked and have tattoos made on them.
Grandparents shook their legs on stage with their grandchildren as music rocked the auditorium. One could, without a doubt, see the happiness on the faces of the dada-dadis and nana-nanis.
