The Pre-primary Raksha Bandhan Celebration

Our preschool celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great joy and enthusiasm. The children learned about the beautiful bond of love, care, sharing, and protection between brothers and sisters, while also discovering how the spirit of the festival can extend to caring for nature.

The celebration was organised as a Bagless Day, filled with engaging and hands-on activities. During Circle Time, the Senior KG children played a fun “Guess the Community Helper” activity, while the Junior KG children listened to a story and learned interesting facts about Raksha Bandhan. The children then enjoyed creative rakhi-making activities. Senior KG students made rakhis using cutting and origami techniques, while Junior KG children decorated theirs with colourful stones and glitter paper.

As a special part of the celebration, the children lovingly tied rakhis to the plants and trees in the school surroundings. This meaningful activity helped them understand that, just as we care for and protect our loved ones, we must also care for and protect nature. The day continued with exciting learning experiences. Senior KG children participated in a science experiment and enjoyed a lively Penguin Walk game, while Junior KG children explored the Mystery Bag touch-and-feel game, developing their cognitive thinking and sensory skills, and created different shapes using ice-cream sticks.

The children also enjoyed Raksha Bandhan songs and rhymes, making the celebration lively and memorable. Through these joyful experiences, they learned important values of love, caring, sharing, protection, togetherness, and respect for nature.

Meanwhile, Students of Grades I and II of Green House celebrated Raksha Bandhan in the school auditorium during the 6th lecture. The programme aimed to help students understand the cultural significance of the festival and its values of love, care, respect and protection.

The celebration began with an introductory speech, followed by a short skit on the history and significance of Rakhi. Students then presented a lively group song showcasing Raksha Bandhan traditions across India, followed by an energetic dance performance. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks.

As part of the celebration, students extended the spirit of Raksha Bandhan by tying Rakhis to trees and plants, expressing their commitment to caring for nature. They also tied Rakhis to the school peons, watchman and sweeper, showing gratitude and respect for those who work tirelessly for the school community.

The celebration was a joyful and meaningful experience, reinforcing the message that Raksha Bandhan is not merely about tying a thread, but about love, care, gratitude, respect and togetherness.

The Grades I and II Independence Day Celebration

An Independence Day celebration was organised for Grades I and II students of Spurti Dal (Yellow house) on 14th August, 2026 in the school auditorium with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme was designed to remind everyone of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and to inspire citizens to contribute towards building a stronger and better India

The programme began with the Narrator’s Welcome, which set the tone for the celebration. This was followed by an inspiring Opening Speech titled “The India We Are Building,” highlighting the vision of a progressive, responsible, and united nation

A short and meaningful skit on “What is Freedom?” was presented, encouraging the audience to understand that freedom is not merely independence from foreign rule but also the freedom to live with dignity, equality, responsibility, and mutual respect.

The highlight of the programme was the “Time Machine” – a historical journey through India’s freedom struggle, presented through engaging performances and tableaux. The journey portrayed important moments from India’s history and paid tribute to the courage and sacrifices of the freedom fighters

The auditorium then echoed with patriotic spirit through a patriotic group song, followed by an energetic patriotic dance performance. Both performances were warmly appreciated by the audience

The segment “India Today – Our Responsibilities” reminded everyone that the progress of the nation depends on responsible citizens. It emphasized values such as unity, discipline, and respect for the country, environmental responsibility, and active

participation in nation-building.

A touching “Letter from a Freedom Fighter” was presented, creating a strong emotional connection with the sacrifices of those who fought for India’s independence. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful celebration.

The celebration came to a solemn and proud conclusion with the singing of the National Anthem, with everyone standing respectfully and joining in the spirit of patriotism.

The teacher conducted a flag-making activity in the class during the 7th and 8th lectures. The activity helped students develop respect for the national flag, a sense of unity, teamwork, creativity, and love for the nation. Overall, the Independence Day celebration was meaningful, inspiring, and memorable. It successfully combined history, culture, music, dance, and reflection, while reminding everyone that the freedom we enjoy today comes with the responsibility to build a peaceful, progressive, and united India

Blue Fiesta:
Celebrating Blue Colour Day

The campus came alive in shades of blue as the pre-primary, Grade I, and Grade II students celebrated Blue Colour Day with great enthusiasm and excitement on Friday, 31st July, 2026. The celebration was thoughtfully planned to help young learners recognise and appreciate the colour blue through engaging, hands-on, and interactive learning experiences.

The Pre-Primary section marked the occasion with a vibrant Blue Fiesta. Tiny tots arrived dressed in beautiful blue attire, while the classrooms were attractively decorated with a blue theme, creating a cheerful and stimulating learning environment. The Senior KG students confidently presented a role play on Community Helpers, highlighting the im portance of the people who selflessly serve society. The Junior KG students participated in an engaging Float and Sink science experiment, exploring basic scientific concepts through observation and discovery.

Students also enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities, including printing, clay modelling, colouring, and sorting games, which enhanced their creativity, fine motor skills, and cognitive development. The celebration blended learning with fun, making it a memorable e xperience for every little learner.

The celebration continued for the Grades I and II students with an interactive programme held in the auditorium. Dressed in vibrant blue outfits, the students enthusiastically participated in activities designed to reinforce colour recognition in an enjoyable manner. The programme began with a lively quiz on blue-coloured objects, where students eagerly answered questions and showcased their knowledge.

They also watched an informative video highlighting the significance of the colour blue and its presence in nature and everyday life. The students further added to the festive spirit by singing a cheerful song on the colour blue, filling the auditorium with excite ment and joy.

The Blue Fiesta successfully transformed colour recognition int o a joyful learning experience across all the foundational years. Through creative activities, scientific exploration, music, role play, and interactive learning, the celebration fostered curiosity, creativity, and enthusiastic participation, leaving every child with colourful memories to cherish.

Tiny Feet, Timeless Traditions:
The Foundational Stage Ashadhi Ekadashi Celebration

The students of Nursery to Grade II celebrated Ashadhi Ekadashi with great enthusiasm, devotion, and cultural fervour, transforming the school into a vibrant reflection of Maharashtra's rich spiritual heritage. The celebration was thoughtfully designed to help students understand the cultural and spiritual significance of Ashadhi Ekadashi, introduce them to the Varkari tradition and the sacred Vari pilgrimage, and foster an appreciation for preserving Maharashtra's timeless traditions.

Our little learners looked delightful in traditional Maharashtrian attire, with boys dressed in dhoti-kurta and topi, and girls elegantly adorned in Nauwari sarees, carrying taal and manjira in their hands. The celebration commenced with a warm welcome and confident anchoring by the young students, setting the tone for a joyful and meaningful programme.

A beautifully organised symbolic Palkhi Procession (Vari) saw students and teachers singing the devotional chant "Vitthal Vitthala Hari Om Vitthala" as they moved together in a spirit of faith and unity. The teachers shared the significance of the historic Palkhi Procession from Alandi to Pandharpur and explained the importance of Ashadhi Ekadashi, enabling the children to understand the cultural and spiritual essence of this cherished festival.

Students presented vibrant dance performances to devotional Ashadhi Ekadashi songs, while soulful Abhang singing filled the atmosphere with positivity and devotion. The children also participated in traditional Maharashtrian games that celebrated the state's cultural heritage. One of the most memorable moments was the collective one-minute chanting of "Vitthal Vitthal", during which every child participated with great enthusiasm, creating a peaceful and divine ambience. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt prayer to Lord Vitthal, seeking blessings for happiness, wisdom, and prosperity.

The celebration was a memorable blend of learning, devotion, and joyful participation. It enabled students to understand the significance of Ashadhi Ekadashi and the Varkari tradition, recognise the importance of Lord Vitthal in Maharashtra's cultural and spiritual heritage, and appreciate traditions such as the Vari, Abhang singing, devotional chanting, and folk games. Above all, the event fostered cultural awareness, respect for traditions, unity, discipline, and a deep sense of pride in Maharashtra's rich heritage among our young learners.

The Grades I and II English Story-telling Activity

An English Storytelling Activity was conducted for the students of Grades I and II on Friday, 30th June, 2026, during regular classroom hours. Two English periods were dedicated to the activity with the aim of developing students' English speaking and communication skills, building their confidence in public speaking, improving their pronunciation, fluency, voice modulation, and expressive narration, while fostering creativity, imagination, and a love for reading through stories beyond the prescribed syllabus.

Students were encouraged to choose stories beyond the prescribed curriculum, exposing them to a wider range of themes, characters, and literary styles. They prepared enthusiastically for the event and narrated their stories with confidence, making effective use of props, costumes, and visual aids to enrich their performances and captivate their audience.

The activity provided a meaningful platform for students to strengthen their communication skills while developing clarity of speech, accurate pronunciation, expressive narration, and effective voice modulation. It also encouraged them to think creatively, explore their imagination, and present stories in an engaging and interactive manner.

Teachers assessed each presentation using a structured evaluation rubric that considered content, fluency, pronunciation, expression, confidence, creativity, effective use of props, and overall presentation. The rubric ensured a fair, comprehensive, and objective assessment of every student's performance.

The storytelling sessions were vibrant, enjoyable, and highly interactive, with every student participating enthusiastically. Through the activity, students demonstrated greater confidence while speaking before an audience, improved their pronunciation, fluency, and expressive narration, and effectively used props and visual aids to enhance their presentations. A Day of Learning, Nature, and Responsibility:
Celebrating Green Day and Bagless Day

Patil Public School celebrated Green Day with great enthusiasm on Tuesday, 30th June, 2026, bringing together the Pre-Primary, Grade I, and Grade II students for a vibrant day of learning, creativity, and environmental awareness. The celebration, which was combined with a fun-filled Bagless Day for the Pre-Primary section, transformed the school into a green haven as classrooms, corridors, and the auditorium were beautifully decorated. Students and teachers dressed in various shades of green, creating an atmosphere that reflected the beauty of nature and the importance of protecting the environment.

The programme featured confident student anchoring, an inspiring speech on environmental conservation, a lively Hindi song recital, and an engaging role play highlighting the importance of healthy eating and the value of fruits and vegetables. These presentations encouraged students to appreciate nature while developing confidence and communication skills.

The day was enriched with a variety of experiential activities across all sections. Nursery students created tree paintings using balloons, Junior KG students participated in a plantation drive, nature walk, and frog jump activity, while Senior KG students enjoyed collage making and clay modelling. Grade I students took part in a fenugreek (methi) cleaning activity, and Grade II students planted saplings and began observing their growth through a plant observation chart. Interactive storytelling sessions and Circle Time on the theme of "Responsibility" further reinforced the importance of caring for nature and the environment.

The celebration concluded on a joyful note, providing students with meaningful opportunities to learn through creativity, exploration, and hands-on experiences. Celebrating International Yoga Day

Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life."

Yoga is not merely about physical exercise; it is a journey towards achieving harmony between the body, mind, and soul. Believing firmly in the holistic development of its students, S.B. Patil Public School enthusiastically celebrated International Yoga Day – which is annually celebrated on 21st June — by organising a series of yoga sessions across all sections of the school on the 19th and 22nd of June, 2026

The celebration commenced with a special yoga session for the students of the pre-primary section. The tiny tots began the day by chanting Omkar mantras and practising meditation, helping them establish a connection with their inner selves. They enthusiastically performed various yoga postures such as Tadasana, Uttanasana, Vrikshasana, and Trikonasana, while learning about the importance and benefits of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Simultaneously, yoga sessions were organised for students of Grades I to IX and XI to promote health, wellness, and mindfulness among young learners. The programme was meticulously planned and coordinated by the CCA Team in collaboration with the Sports Department. To make the sessions more enriching and effective, experienced yoga trainers from Mindful Yoga Academy were invited to guide the students through various yogic practices

The sessions were conducted under the expert guidance of Mr. Vishwas Pitre, Ms. Vaishnavi Pitre, Mr. Santosh Susveerkar, Ms. Pooja Susveerkar, and Mr. Eknath Khand kar. The trainers demonstrated a variety of yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation practices, highlighting their role in improving concentration, flexibility, strength, emotional balance, and overall well-being.

Students across all grades participated with great enthusiasm, discipline, and dedication. They gained valuable insights into the significance of incorporating yoga into their daily routines and learned how regular practice can help reduce stress, improve focus, and foster a positive outlook towards life

The celebration aligned with the theme of International Yoga Day 2026 – “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, which emphasises the importance of yoga in promoting lifelong health and wellness. Through this initiative, the school reinforced its commitment to nurturing healthy habits and encouraging the overall physical, mental, and emotional development of its students from an early age.

The event concluded on a refreshing and rejuvenating note, leaving students inspired to embrace yoga as an integral part of their daily lives. The entire school campus resonated with positivity, peace, and vitality. Day One of the Pre-primary Section (2026-27)

There is something quietly beautiful about a first day — tiny hands holding on a little tighter, curious eyes taking in a world that feels both new and overwhelming. At S.B. Patil Public School, the academic year 2026–27 began on just such a note, as our youngest learners stepped into the pre-primary section, beginning a journey that will shape so many of their first memories of school..

The campus seemed to understand the moment — dressed in colours, balloons, cheerful welcome boards, and familiar cartoon characters — as if it were gently saying, “You belong here.” It was not just the children who needed that reassurance, but the parents too, standing at the edge of a new chapter.

They were warmly received by principal, Dr. Bindu Saini; headmaster, Ms. Shubhangi Kulkarni; and section coordinator, Ms. Supreya Nitin, whose presence carried a quiet calm. The teachers, with patient smiles and gentle words, did what they do best — they made the unfamiliar feel safe.

What followed was not just a schedule of activities, but a series of small, meaningful moments — music that invited hesitant feet to move, rhymes that slowly turned silence into laughter, and play areas filled with toys, slides, and seesaws where children forgot, even if just for a while, that they had been nervous at all.

In keeping with the spirit of National Education Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Framework, the day focused on learning through doing — through touch, play, sound, and imagination. Every activity was a quiet step towards helping each child find their voice, their confidence, and their place.
