The GKG UDAAN 2026 Competition
Pune, Maharashtra | 20th August, 2026
Our pre-primary students enthusiastically participated in the GK Gurukul Tiny Trailblazers and TeD TITANS Competitions held on Thursday, 20th August, 2026, alongside students from various schools.
Students from Nursery, Junior KG and Senior KG participated in different categories. Nursery students competed in the Two-Station Track Challenge, Junior KG students in Creative Invention of Their Choice, and Senior KG students in the Last Letter Contest and TeD TITANS
The competitions were conducted in multiple rounds. Junior KG and Senior KG students participated in the initial round online through Zoom, presenting their models, explaining their creations and confidently answering the judges’ questions. Shortlisted students advanced to the final round at GK Gurukul School. Nursery students participated in all rounds directly at Gurukul School alongside students from other schools.
Our young participants displayed confidence, creativity, preparation and excellent communication skills throughout the competition. We are proud to celebrate their achievements and participation.

One Big India, One Bigger Heart:
The Senior KG Anekta Mein Ekta Activity
Pune, Maharashtra | 13th August, 2026
On 13th August, 2026, the Senior KG students enthusiastically participated in a vibrant and engaging activity based on the theme “Anekta Mein Ekta” (Unity in Diversity).
As part of the activity, the young learners represented different states of India and explored their distinctive cultures, traditional attire, food, customs, and traditions. Dressed in colourful traditional outfits, the children proudly presented interesting facts and unique aspects of the states they represented, bringing the rich cultural diversity of India to life.
The activity helped the children understand that while India is home to diverse languages, cultures, traditions, cuisines, and customs, we are united by the values of love, respect, harmony, and togetherness.
Through this joyful and enriching learning experience, the students discovered the beauty of India’s diversity and embraced the timeless message of “Unity in Diversity.”

Little Hands, Big Imaginations:
The Nursery and Junior KG Colouring Activity

On 13th August, 2026, S.B. Patil Public School organised a delightful colouring activity for the Nursery and Junior KG students, providing them with a joyful space to explore creativity and express themselves freely.
With colourful crayons and engaging illustrations at their fingertips, the young artists eagerly brought their imagination to life. Each child chose colours independently, creating artwork that reflected their unique ideas and personalities.
Beyond the fun and excitement, the activity supported important early developmental skills, including fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, colour recognition, spatial awareness, and concentration. It was a simple yet meaningful experience that allowed our youngest learners to create, explore, and enjoy the magic of putting their imagination on paper.

Celebrating Marathi through Poems and Songs:
The Marathi Balgeet Activity
Pune, Maharashtra | 16th July, 2026
On Thursday, 16th July 2026, S.B. Patil Public School organised a Marathi Balgeet Activity for the students of Nursery, Junior KG and Senior KG. The little learners enthusiastically presented traditional Marathi balgeet with joyful actions and expressions, showcasing their confidence and enthusiasm.
The children creatively used colourful and attractive props that made their performances lively, engaging and enjoyable. The activity encouraged the use of the Marathi language while helping students enhance their pronunciation, enrich their vocabulary and develop confidence in performing before an audience.
The activity also offered the young learners a delightful introduction to Maharashtra’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage. It provided them with an opportunity to express themselves creatively while experiencing the joy of learning through music, movement and performance.
The enthusiastic participation of the students made the activity a memorable experience, fostering self-confidence and a love for language among the little learners while celebrating the beauty and richness of Marathi culture.

Colours of Imagination:
The Grades I and II Inter-House Drawing Competition

To nurture creativity and encourage artistic expression among young learners, an Inter-House Drawing Competition was organised for the students of Grades I and II on 24th June, 2026 during regular school hours. The event provided an exciting platform for students to showcase their imagination, creativity, and artistic abilities through vibrant and meaningful artwork
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, who eagerly transformed their ideas into colourful drawings based on a variety of age-appropriate themes. Grade I students expressed their creativity through topics such as My Family, Flowers and Butterflies in a Garden, Aquarium/Fish Tank, and A Rainy Day. Meanwhile, Grade II students explored themes including Clean India, Green India, Healthy Food, The Jungle, and A Birthday Party, reflecting their understanding of the world around them through art.
The young artists impressed everyone with their originality, attention to detail, and imaginative interpretations of the given topics. Each artwork reflected the students’ unique perspectives and showcased their ability to communicate thoughts and emotions through colours and drawings.
The entries were evaluated on the basis of presentation, relevance to the topic, creativity, appropriate use of paper space, and the overall impact of the artwork. The judging process highlighted not only artistic talent but also the effort and thought invested by each participant
The competition proved to be a valuable learning experience, helping students develop observation skills, fine motor coordination, and self-confidence while fostering a spirit of healthy competition. Most importantly, it encouraged children to explore their creativity and appreciate the beauty of artistic expression.
The event was a resounding success, leaving students inspired and motivated to continue expressing themselves through art. It served as a wonderful reminder that every child possesses a unique imagination, waiting to be brought to life through colours and creativity
