Celebrating Marathi through Poems and Songs:
The Marathi Balgeet Activity

On Thursday, 16th July 2026, S.B. Patil Public School organised a Marathi Balgeet Activity for the students of Nursery, Junior KG and Senior KG. The little learners enthusiastically presented traditional Marathi balgeet with joyful actions and expressions, showcasing their confidence and enthusiasm.

The children creatively used colourful and attractive props that made their performances lively, engaging and enjoyable. The activity encouraged the use of the Marathi language while helping students enhance their pronunciation, enrich their vocabulary and develop confidence in performing before an audience.

The activity also offered the young learners a delightful introduction to Maharashtra’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage. It provided them with an opportunity to express themselves creatively while experiencing the joy of learning through music, movement and performance.

The enthusiastic participation of the students made the activity a memorable experience, fostering self-confidence and a love for language among the little learners while celebrating the beauty and richness of Marathi culture.
