The competition proved to be an enlightening and inspiring experience, fostering spiritual awareness and cultural pride among students. The Investiture Ceremony 2025–26
Pune, Maharashtra | 31st July, 2025
On Thursday, 31st July, 2025, S.B. Patil Public School hosted its prestigious Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025–26, held with great dignity and enthusiasm in the school auditorium. The occasion marked the formal installation of the newly elected Student Council Members, a select group of student leaders chosen to shoulder responsibilities across various domains of school life.
The Student Council, comprising 24 representatives from Grades IV to XII, includes office bearers such as the Head Boy and Head Girl, Vice Head Boy and Girl, House Captains and Vice-Captains, and In-Charges for Home Affairs, Sports and Culture, Environment, Information & Broadcasting, among other key areas. Additionally, students from the Foundational and Preparatory stages were also inducted into leadership roles to instil values of accountability and initiative from a young age.
These leaders will serve as a bridge between the student body and faculty — upholding discipline, assisting with communication, and helping to organise co-curricular programmes and student-led initiatives. Their roles extend to supporting the smooth functioning of the school, participating in various school committees and clubs, and representing the institution in student leadership camps and development programmes.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by Vidisha Garade, Paritosh Nikam and Atharva Mali, all of Grade IX; and Gouri Nale and Varad Pol of Grade V, who compered the ceremony with poise.
This was followed by the auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony, performed by principal, Dr. Bindu Saini; vice principal, Ms. Padmavati Banda; HM, Ms. Shubhangi Kulkarni; section coordinators, Ms. Darshana Kamat, Ms. Prutha Vaidya, Ms. Vandana Sangle and Ms. Archana Prabhune, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
Next was the tilak and badge presentation, where each elected student was called upon to receive their badge of honour and a ceremonial tilak from the school leadership and house teachers — a symbolic gesture of trust and responsibility.
In a poignant moment of unity, Dr. Saini led the council in the oath-taking ceremony, with the entire faculty standing in solemn support. She then addressed the gathering, congratulating the young leaders and extending special thanks to the parents for their unwavering encouragement and involvement in their children’s educational journey.
The ceremony concluded with the rendition of Vande Mataram, followed by a formal Vote of Thanks by Nirja Kumbhar of Grade V, bringing the programme to a respectful and heartfelt close. A group photograph of the Student Council was taken to capture the moment — not just for school records, but as a memory to be cherished.

During the semifinal round, house-wise participants (one from each grade level, totalling seven students) battled it out in the Semifinals, judged by Ms. Nayna Taru and Ms. Swaleha Mujumdar. The topics sparked energetic discussions and well-researched arguments:

Budding Stars Prisha and Anvi Shine on the Marathi Stage
Pune Maharashtra | 20th July, 2025
“Comedy Chetkin”, a humorous yet thought-provoking play, delighted audiences while delivering a powerful message on environmental conservation. The story revolves around a professor who, after cutting down trees in a forest, is cursed by the forest goddess and transformed into a “Chetkin”. To break the curse and return to his human form, he must plant a hundred trees before the next rainfall.
Amid the laughter and lessons, two standout performances came from Prisha, a student of Grade IV, who played the key role of Sanji — a character who helps the professor, motivates the villagers, and adds comic flair throughout the play. Anvi Kale, a student of Grade V also participated in the comedy drama.
Reflecting on her experience, Prisha shared, "I performed in a Marathi play for the first time, and it was my very first experience performing on such a big stage. It made me really happy and boosted my confidence. I’m truly grateful to Pravin Sir and Shilpa Ma’am for teaching us the 'Navarasas' (nine emotions of acting). Their guidance helped me understand the importance and beauty of the Marathi stage."
Despite it being her debut in a Marathi production, Prisha's and Anvi’s dedication were evident. They both memorised their dialogues with precision and delivered them with expressive gestures and authentic emotion.

Petronauts on a Mission:
Three Students Shoot for the Moon
Pune, Maharashtra | 6th June, 2025
In a stellar display of creativity and imagination, three students from our school — Sanika Sarode (X-D), Purvi Gaikwad (VII-F), and Prisha Gaikwad (Class II-H) — have proudly participated i n the “Sharpie Pets to the Moon” international art contest, hosted by the Lady Rocket Foundation in collaboration with Global Lighthouse Studios and Copernic Space. Held on 6th June, 2025, the event was conducted online and open to participants across the globe.
The “Sharpie Pets to the Moon” initiative invited young artists to explore the enchanting intersection of art and space science by designing their very own cosmic pet companions—known as Petronauts. Using Sharpie markers, students were encouraged to imagine their pets donned in interstellar gear, ready to journey to the moon. The event was part of a broader educational push, backed by NASA-related lunar programs, to engage youth with the future of space exploration.
Sanika, Purvi, and Prisha each brought their own unique vision to life—blending artistic talent with boundless imagination. While Sanika depicted a bold lunar companion in her final year of school art activities, young Purvi’s vibrant illustrations from Grade VII showcased a perfect balance of whimsy and wonder. Meanwhile, little Prisha from Grade II charmed the judges with her adorable and fearless space pet explorer.
This competition was more than just an art event. It fostered imaginative thinking, artistic expression, and early engagement with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts. By transforming pets into astronauts, students learned how creativity can fuel scientific curiosity and exploration.
The school is proud of Sanika, Purvi, and Prisha for participating in such an inspiring global platform. Their contributions not only highlight their individual talents but also represent our institution’s commitment to nurturing young minds beyond the classroom. We also lend our heartiest congrats to Purvi and Sanika for achieving the top two finalist positions on the Lady Rocket Racing to the Moon Video Game Design Contest that was held in January 2025.
As we look toward a future that increasingly blends science with creativity, initiatives like these remind us that the sky is not the limit — it is just the beginning.
