Marking the spirit of resilience and empowerment on International Women’s Day, a special event titled Swasth Naari Saree Walkathon was organised on 8th March, 2026 at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Chinchwad. The unique 3-kilometre walkathon celebrated the strength, health, and determination of women, encouraging participants to embrace fitness while proudly representing traditional attire.

Among the enthusiastic participants was Ms. Gauri Utture, the sports teacher of S.B. Patil Public School. Demonstrating both athletic ability and remarkable determination, Ms. Utture participated in the walkathon wearing a saree — a symbol of grace and tradition — and successfully secured second place in the event

The Swasth Naari Saree Walkathon stood out as a distinctive initiative, highlighting the message that women can pursue health and fitness without compromising cultural identity. Participants from various walks of life came together to celebrate womanhood, well-being, and perseverance in a vibrant and spirited atmosphere.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 8 March 2026, a special felicitation programme was organised by PNG & Sons at their Chinchwad venue to honour women athletes who have achieved recognition at the national level in their respective sporting fields.

The programme celebrated the achievements, dedication, and perseverance of talented women who have brought pride to the sporting community through their accomplishments. Among those honoured at the event was Ms. Gauri Utture, the sports teacher of S.B. Patil Public School, who was felicitated in recognition of her achievements as a national-level player in Kabaddi and wrestling

The event served as a platform to acknowledge the contributions of women athletes and to celebrate their journey of determination and success. During the programme, Women’s Day greetings were extended to all the athletes present, along with best wishes for their continued success and a bright future.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by the Manager Head of P.N.G. & Sons along with members of the P.N.G. family, who were present in large numbers to honour and encourage the women athletes.

Ms. Gauri Utture’s International Kabaddi Triumph

Ms. Gauri Utture, a dedicated sports teacher, has brought pride and recognition by securing a medal at the 1st United National Masters Games 2026, held in Nashik, Maharashtra, from 28th to 31st January, 2026.

Representing Maharashtra in the sport of Kabaddi, Ms. Utture competed in the 40+ age category and delivered a commendable performance, earning a Certificate of Merit along with a medal at this prestigious national-level event. The championship was organised by the Masters Games Association Maharashtra and was affiliated with the All India Masters Sports Federation, the Asian Masters Sports Committee, and the World Masters Sports Federation — lending the competition both national stature and international recognition.

Ms. Utture’s achievement stands as a testament to her discipline, perseverance, and deep commitment to sports and physical education. Balancing professional responsibilities with rigorous training, she has exemplified the true spirit of sportsmanship and lifelong fitness.

Adding further distinction to her accomplishment, Ms. Utture has also been selected to represent Maharashtra at the International level, marking yet another significant milestone in her sporting journey. She will be playing in Thailand in mid-April 2026. This selection reflects her consistent performance and the confidence reposed in her abilities at higher competitive platforms.

Nurturing Minds Through LogiQids

Patil Public School has long been appreciated for its commitment to moving students beyond rote learning and towards the development of essential core skills such as logical reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking. In keeping with this philosophy, the school conducts the prestigious LogiQids Mental Aptitude Olympiad for students from Senior KG to Grade IX.

Recently, the founder of LogiQids, Mr. Mikin Lala, extended his heartfelt appreciation for the school’s unwavering support of this initiative. He expressed his gratitude to the principal, Dr. Bindu Saini, and the school coordinator for the event, Ms. Swaleha Mujawar. Both were presented with mementos of appreciation by the host organisation, acknowledging their efforts and, by extension, recognising the collective commitment of all members of the school in making this programme a priority for students.

Educators Honoured at Symbi Education Conclave and Awards 2026

The Symbi Education Conclave and Awards 2026 was successfully held in Pune as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, bringing together educators and academic leaders from over 95 schools under the theme “Upskill & Reinvent”.

Representing S.B. Patil Public School, Ms. Chandani Lodaya, Foundational Section Teacher, and Dr. Rohit Sarkar, Media and Publishing Department Executive, participated in the conclave, engaging in discussions on NEP 2020, leadership transformation, and early childhood education.

Ms. Jayshree Sawant’s Contribution to Education Recognised

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, the R.R. Foundation and Anand Aadhar Foundation jointly organised the “Gyaan Jyoti Sammelan, Pune.” At this event, Ms. Jayshree Sawant was honoured with the “Savitribai Phule Educational Award” on 3rd January, 2026 at Patrakar Bhavan, Pune, at the hands of Honourable Mamata Tai Sindhutai Sapkal and Mr. Pitambar Kale.

Ms. Jayshree Sawant has made a significant contribution towards resolving teachers’ issues in the field of education. She has been actively working in the education sector for the past 25 years. At present, she is working as a Hindi teacher at S.B. Patil Public School, Ravet. It is noteworthy that she also served as the principal of Agarwal Vidyalaya, Bhosari, for nearly 18 years.

In recognition of her dedicated service in the field of education, she was also honoured in 2025 by the Venkatesh Multi-purpose Organisation, Alandi, Pune, with a certificate and badge as the “State-level Ideal Former Principal.”

A Kabaddi Triumph at the Maharashtra State Masters Games

S.B. Patil Public School proudly celebrates an inspiring sporting achievement as sports faculty, Ms. Gauri Utture brought laurels through her exceptional performance at the 6th Maharashtra State Masters Games 2025, organised by the Masters Games Association, Maharashtra.

The prestigious state-level championship was held from 13th to 14th December 2025 at Pimpri–Chinchwad, Pune, drawing accomplished athletes from across Maharashtra. Competing in the 40+ age group, Ms. Uture participated in the Kabaddi Tournament and delivered a commanding performance, securing first place and winning the Gold Medal.

In recognition of her achievement, she was awarded a Certificate of Merit, honouring her skill, discipline, and competitive spirit in Kabaddi. Her success stands as a powerful reminder that dedication to sport transcends age and continues to inspire perseverance, fitness, and excellence.
